DuckDuckGo and Brave are hashing their products online, and it is in retaliation to Google’s AMP tracking that hunts for articles online. The new features of these private web services would bring users a chance to be anonymous or confidential online, allowing the public to hide their online activity and data from the likes of the famous internet company.

DuckDuckGo’s Take on Google’s AMP Tracking
DuckDuckGo took its new product announcement to Twitter, and the company explicitly said that it aims to block Google whenever it tries to take data from users for its AMP features. The Accelerated Mobile Pages from Google is an internet tool that focuses on taking article data online and having it available for a quick view.
The secure web browser said that instead of using one’s data to display whenever posting an article or other information online, it would show the original source instead of one’s data. Google’s AMP does otherwise as it takes the data and information of a person that posted the said article, making it available online.
The feature would only work when using DuckDuckGo’s browser when posting said article.
Brave Joins to Block Google AMP Tracker
It is not only DuckDuckGo that takes on this new venture but also another secure website company known as Brave. According to its recent blog post, Brave is “De-AMP-ing” its browser and is blocking Google’s tracking services when using its browser to post articles and the like.
These new features focus on online privacy and security, keeping one’s data secure.
Secure Data and Online Browsers
DuckDuckGo and Brave are two of the most famous privacy-focused web browsers that ensure users that their data and information are under protection from trackers and third-party entities. DuckDuckGo first released its web browser last December 2021, and since then, the company campaigned on privacy for users to enjoy.
The public enjoys web browsers like Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and the like. Still, some of these companies are notorious for getting data and information to store on their ad policies and the like. Despite connecting to online services, secure website companies like Brave ensure that no such information is taken via its platform.
The world is running on data and information, and almost everything is available on the world wide web, something that helps bring the public more of what they need. In this age, companies like DuckDuckGo and Brave aim to assist in security, as the world’s internet is a dangerous place and not that safe anymore.
